DHS Repatriations
When DHS sends an alien back to their country of citizenship or a third country, it is called repatriation. It can be a removal (which carries administrative penalties), a return (which does not carry administrative penalties), or an expulsion under the Title 42 public health order which was in effect from March 2020 until May 2023.
The Repatriations KHSM includes data on all DHS repatriations, including those completed by ICE or CBP (both U.S. Border Patrol and the Office of Field Operations).
